Good home-made pastry tastes so much better than shop-bought that this simple recipe is well worth trying

Ingredients

Main:

  • 420 g plain flour
  • 280 g butter
  • 1 g salt
  • 140 ml water

Method

1. Sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Rub in the butter until the butter has been absorbed and the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

2. Gradually mix in the water to form a dough.

3. Cover with cling film and rest in the fridge for 20 minutes before using.
