John Torode is in the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. John's journey takes him to Huraa where he gets an introduction to Maldivian cuisine from Soba who cooks a typical local dish using coconuts, chilies and tuna fish. Next John heads to One & Only Reethi Rah to meet Chef Emmanuel Soares. Chef Emmanuel cooks not one but 2 dishes for John, with fresh ingredients from the island garden and a touch of Maldivian flavour: Aubergine from the Garden, and Maldivian Omelette. Heading to his own private desert island John cooks his dish: barbecued fish with coconut and chili salad.
