Avocado and sumac dip

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados, cubed
  • 1 small lemon, juiced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp tahini
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp crushed or ground sumac
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds

Method

1. Place the avocado and lemon juice in a food processor until smooth or alternatively mash together with a fork.

2. Add the olive oil, tahini, cinnamon, cumin, sumac and garlic and mix together until its the consistency of mayonnaise.

3. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve with pitta bread, tortilla or flat bread.
