Ingredients

  • 400 g dried figs
  • 500 g almonds
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 100 ml grappa

Method

1. Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.

2. With a paring knife, partially cut open the figs in half making sure to keep the fig intact. Add 1 - 2 almonds in each fig and press together to close.

3. Place the figs in a baking dish and sprinkle with sugar. Add remaining almonds and grappa to the baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until figs are slightly golden.
