Ingredients

  • 100 g biltong, grated finely
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 50 ml double cream
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • melba toast or brown bread, to serve

Tips and Suggestions

Biltong is a South African dry-cured game meat, similar to beef jerky. If you're unable to find it, you could try this recipe using other dry-cured meat such as jerky or bresaola although the flavour and texture will not be the same.

Method

1. Cream together all ingredients until smooth. The pate will be fairly loose, so spoon into ramekins before serving with melba toast or triangles of fresh brown bread.
