- 300 g brussels sprouts
- 50 g butter
- 125 g unsmoked bacon, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
1. Trim the sprouts and cut a cross in the base of each. Cook them in boiling water until just tender. Drain well.
2. Heat the butter in a large saucepan and fry the bacon for 2-3 minutes. Add the garlic and fry for a further minute.
3. Add the cooked sprouts and fry for 2-3 minutes until they begin to colour. Season to taste and serve immediately.
