Camembert and grape bread

Camembert and grape bread

  • 350 g strong bread flour
  • 150 g wholemeal flour
  • 12 g salt
  • 25 g fresh yeast
  • 300 ml warm water
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 150 g camembert, torn into little pieces
  • 150 g white seedless grapes


1. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the white flour, wholemeal flour, salt, yeast, warm water and olive oil. 2. Mix together with your hands for 4 minutes, bringing the mixture together to form a dough.3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 7 minutes, until the dough is soft but not sticky.4. Place the dough in a clean, oiled mixing bowl and set aside to rise for 1 hour.5. Break down the dough and mix in roughly half of the Camember together with roughly half of the white grapes.6. Shape the dough into a sausage shape and place on a lined baking sheet. Set aside to rise for a further hour.7. Preheat the oven to 230°C/gas 8.8. Cut a channel down the centre of the dough and fill it with the remaining Camembert and grapes.9. Bake for 25 minutes until risen and cooked through. Cool on a wire rack, then serve.
