Classic Thai Green Curry Paste

Add this easy-to-prepare Thai green curry to lightly fried Chicken strips and/or your favourite vegetables; serve with basmati rice and lime wedges

Ingredients

  • 6 shallots
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp chopped lemongrass
  • 6 large green chillies
  • 6 small green chillies
  • 6 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 tbsp chopped galangal
  • 3 tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 lime, juice only
  • 2 tsp chopped lime leaves
  • 3 tbsp shrimp paste

Method

Chop the herbs, spices, garlic, shallots and chillies in the Small Chopper, (HC) of your Braun handblender and then transfer all the ingredients to the Big Chopper (BC), add the lime juice and shrimp paste and blend.
