- 2 dashes of absinthe
- 2 dashes of Orange Curacao
- 2 dashes of crème de Nayau or amaretto (almond liqueur)
- 30 ml rum
- 1 tsp caster sugar
- 1 egg yolk
Tips and Suggestions
This is an old recipe and will certainly open your eyes wide in an instant. Absinthe makes the eyelids stronger; don't have too many though, or they'll remain open permanently.
Raw or lightly cooked eggs should not be served to young children, elderly people, invalids and pregnant women, because of the risk of salmonella poisoning.
1. Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake.
2. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve immediately.
