Fig and turmeric milk

Ingredients

  • 600 ml milk
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 8 dried figs, stalks trimmed
  • honey, to taste

Method

1. Pour the milk into a heavy-based saucepan and add in the turmeric and figs. Bring to the boil, then remove from the heat.

2. Take four cups or mugs, and put two figs at the bottom of each one. Pour the milk over the top and sweeten, to taste, with honey.

3. Serve at once.
