For the patties

  • 400 g lean minced beef
  • 1 small onion, peeled and grated
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Ground black pepper

Filling options

Bacon & Avocado: Barbecued beef pattie, rashers of cooked bacon, avocado, salad greens, tomato salsa and mayonnaise.

Hawaiian: Barbecued beef pattie, slice of cooked ham, slice of pineapple, salad greens and mayonnaise.

Tex Mex: Barbecued beef pattie, hot Mexican refried beans, sour cream, salsa, cheese and salad greens.

Satay Chicken: Barbecued chicken fillets, slices of cucumber, lettuce and peanut sauce.

Chicken: Barbecued chicken fillets, cooked bacon, avocado, tomato, salad greens and mayonnaise.

Kiwi: Barbecued beef pattie, cheese, tomato, lettuce, beetroot ?and mayonnaise.

Vegetarian: Cooked falafel pattie, tomato, avocado, lettuce, cucumber, tomato salsa and mayonnaise.


1. Mix together all ingredients and use wet hands to form into patties about 1.5cm thick. Barbecue for 2-3 minutes on each side.
