Hot Sesame Oil Seared Salmon Salad

  • 100 g sashimi slices of salmon
  • 1 tsp wasabi
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp slices fresh ginger
  • 1 pinches fresh chives
  • 100 ml sesame oil
  • 200 ml olive oil
  • mixed salad, to serve
  • limes, to serve


1. Arrange the salmon sashimi slices in a single layer on the plate. Mix the wasabi into the soy sauce and drizzle over the fish. Lay over the fresh ginger slivers and chives.

2. Mix both oils in a small pan and over a high heat. Ladle the hot oil over the sashimi slices to sear them.

3. Finish with a sprinkle of mixed salad and serve immediately with wedges of lime.
