Ingredients

Main

  • 1 tinned chickpeas, 400g or or 200g dried chickpeas, soaked in water overnight, then cooked in fresh water until soft
  • 1 lemons, juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp tahini, you could use yogurt instead for a different flavour
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt, or to taste

Method

Put all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth. Check for seasoning, adding more olive oil or a spoon of natural yogurt if it's too thick. This dip keeps in the fridge for up to a week.
