- 300 g smoked mackerel fillets, skinned
- 1 small lemon, juice only
- 280 g creme fraiche
- 3/4 tbsp creamed horseradish, (or to taste)
1. Break the mackerel into chunks and mix together with the lemon juice, crème fraîche, creamed horseradish and plenty of ground black pepper in a bowl.
2. Mash well with a fork to make a soft, fluffy mixture. Cover with cling film and chill in the fridge until required. Serve cold.
