Rum punch

Get the party swinging with Allegra McEvedys Caribbean punch - try varying the recipe with guava juice or passion fruit syrup instead of orange or pineapple

  • 125 ml white rum
  • 125 ml dark or navy rum
  • 75 ml orange liqueur
  • 350 ml orange juice
  • 350 ml pineapple juice
  • 75 ml lime juice
  • 75 ml grenadine
  • 1 tsp angostura bitters
  • ice cubes, to taste

To garnish (optional)

  • maraschino cherries, to taste
  • wedges of limes, to taste
  • oranges, slices, to taste
  • pineapple chunks, to taste
  • pineapples, leaves


1. Mix all the punch ingredients together, except the ice, in a large pitcher or bowl.

2. When youre ready to serve, fill a tumbler with ice and top with the punch, stir and garnish with maraschino cherries, lime wedges, orange slices, pineapple wedges and/or pineapple leaves (if you wish).

3. Alternatively shake the required amount for each serving in a cocktail shaker and pour into a tumbler to serve straight up (without ice) or on the rocks (with ice).
