Salsa Fresca

Typically Mexican, this salsa from Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger has a chilli kick and tastes great with tortilla chips

Ingredients

Main

  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes, seeds removed and finely diced
  • 0.25 red onions, grated
  • 2 jalapeƱo chillies, finely chopped, seeds removed
  • 1 bunches coriander, leaves only, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 0.75 tsp salt
  • 1 pinches freshly ground black pepper

Method

Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and serve with tortilla chips or tamales. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator. This dip is best enjoyed on the day it is made.
