Ingredients

  • 4 thin slices of baguettes, or focaccia
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 slices of smoked salmon
  • a squeeze of lemon juice
  • crème fraîche
  • freshly ground black pepper

Tips and Suggestions


This is a really easy dish to prepare and is perfect, when made smaller, to go with pre-dinner drinks

Method

1. Lightly toast or grill the bread, and brush on both sides with a little olive oil.

2. Lay the smoked salmon on the bread, and squeeze a little lemon juice onto the salmon. Spoon a teaspoonful of crème fraîche onto each crostini and finish with a grind of black pepper.
