Spicy Pear Chutney

A quick chutney from Clodagh Mckenna perfect with cheese on toast

Spicy Pear Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 handfuls sultanas
  • 1 handfuls raisins
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp honey cider vinegar
  • 4 Williams pears

Method

1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Add the sultanas, raisins, sugar, spices and cider vinegar. Cook for a minute or 2 until caramelised.

2. Add pears, turn in the spices mixture and cook for 5 minutes. Leave to cool a little before serving.
