Wasabi Coleslaw

  • 6 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sweet cooking sake
  • 1 tbsp wasabi
  • 1/2 limes, juice only
  • 2 carrots, finely shredded
  • ΒΌ cabbage, finely shrededed

Tips and Suggestions

The strength of store-bought wasabi paste can vary between brands, so it's best to add less at first to taste, and add more if you'd like a spicier coleslaw.


1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sake, wasabi with a whisk, and then add the lime juice.

2. Stir in the shredded carrots and cabbage, mixing well until all the vegetables are evenly coated with the wasabi dressing.

3. To serve, transfer the coleslaw into a large salad bowl, or pile onto serving plates.
