  • Effort: easy

  • 30 g melted beef dripping
  • 300 ml milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 300 ml water
  • 115 g plain flour
  • pinches salt
  • 1 tsp vinegar

1. Preheat the oven to 200C/gas 6.

2. Fill the holes of a muffin tray with the beef dripping and put in the oven to get really hot.

3. Mix all the remaining ingredients together in a bowl to make a smooth batter. Remove the muffin tray from the oven and pour the batter into the moulds.

4. Return to the oven and cook for 15 minutes until risen and golden. Don't open the oven door as the cold air will make them sink.
